Introducing Flo AI: Meet Flo, Your Procurement Copilot

Who it's for: Anyone who interacts with Spendflo — Flo helps requesters, approvers, procurement, and AP teams alike.

Flo is the AI agent layer built into Spendflo — not one assistant, but three agents working together, each owning a different piece of the procurement lifecycle.

The three agents

  • Flo Procure — handles intake, vendor onboarding, approval routing, and PO creation. For standard requests, it can carry the full lifecycle through without any human intervention.

  • Flo Contracts — ingests every contract you upload, extracts the key fields, flags risk clauses, and tracks obligations and renewal dates.

  • Flo AP — matches bills to POs and contracts, surfaces variances, and queues clean invoices for payment.

Three ways to use Flo

  1. Ask a question. Open Flo AI from the sidebar and type a plain-English question — "What's pending on the Matrix Labs request?", "Show me agreements expiring this quarter," or "Compare our Adobe spend to the industry benchmark."

  2. Raise a request. Describe what you want to buy, and Flo pre-fills the intake form for you.

  3. Let Flo act. For requests that match a known pattern — renewing an existing tool, software under your auto-approve threshold — Flo runs the full workflow on its own and notifies you once it's ready for sign-off.

When Flo escalates

Flo hands off to a human automatically when the request is high-value, the supplier is new, the contract has a non-standard clause, or company policy calls for a specific reviewer. You'll always see a clear note explaining why.

Tip:  The Ask Flo button at the top right of every screen is context-aware — on a supplier page, it defaults to questions about that supplier; inside a request, it defaults to that request.
